1. Basic information on samples

Record sample name, number, form, quantity, size, mass, solvent, storage conditions and need for shelter, low temperature or inert atmosphere.

2. Security and compliance information

Description of corrosive, toxic, flammable, volatile, biological, magnetic, radiological or other special properties. Risks of non-disclosure may result in rejection or suspension of testing.

3. Target issues and test models

Clear desire to see shape, element, price, crystal, flaw, hole structure or heat stability.. The same instrument may have multiple models and sampling methods..

4. Control and duplication

Suggested blanks, original samples, samples and necessary duplications. Sample numbers and sampling locations should be confirmed in advance when statistical comparisons are required.

5. Data and analytical requirements

Identification of the need for raw data, photo formats, resolution, elemental mapping, peak alignment, quantitative results or underlying explanations, and indication of the deadline for papers or reports.
